LEGAL SECTION

    Introduction

    This section deals with all legal affairs of the union, it has five (5) practising lawyers at its headquarters who represent the union and its members. The section represent members in industrial, financial instituions, commercial, services and consultancy at the Commission for Mediattion and Arbtration (CMA) and High Court Labor Division.

    Activities

    1. Drafting legal documents

    2. Representing the Union on legal affairs

    3. Representing the union members in labor disputes

    4. Helping the union to comply with the laws of the country

    5. Negotiate and conclude Collective Bargaining Agreements

    6. Provide legal education to the union members and TUICO staff

    7. Drafting bills and proposing ammendments in the existing labor laws
